Description
Scraping sky as Florida's loftiest lighthouse, the beacon at Ponce Inlet (once known - and it's not hard to see why - as Mosquito Inlet) was recently added to the National Historic Landmark list. Visitors can climb to the top of this 175-foot tower for a sweeping view of the coast and Halifax River before descending to pose with this picturesque landmark. Guided tours with "keepers" decked out in period costumes are available for those hoping to learn more about life under the big lens.
