One of the oldest surviving residences in Palm Beach County, the Dubois House was built in 1898 atop a mound of shells (midden) left by Native Americans. Though the Dubois family, back in the day, had prime property on Jupiter inlet, there were some disadvantages to the location, water for one. Get a glimpse of their life at the turn of the century and a feel for what Florida was like before sun-seekers and development changed the face of the coast.
