Description

Located in the Hammock on the west side of State Road A1A, Bing's Landing lies along the Intracoastal Waterway. Flagler County purchased Bing’s Landing in 1989 using environmentally sensitive lands funds. The eight-acre park is located on A1A within a maritime oak hammock. The park houses a state-of-the-art boat launch on the Intracoastal Waterway, fishing pier, picnic and playground facilities, and an archaeological dig of the Mala Compra Plantation.
Previously the plantation home of Brigadier General Joseph Hernandez, Florida’s first voice in the U.S. Congress and also its first Hispanic member, Bing’s Landing is another Flagler County park with a rich history. General Hernandez purchased the 724-acre Mala Compra Plantation in 1816 for $1,500. The plantation was destroyed in 1836 by the Seminoles during the Second Seminole War. If you are looking for a scenic place to have a picnic, Bing's Landing offers a picnic shelter, tables, and grill. The picnic pavilion may be reserved by contacting Parks and Recreation at (386) 313-4020. Come and enjoy Bing’s Landing.
