You don't have to be an inventing genius to enjoy the sights at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates (that's Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, of course) - but it's a sure bet you'll get a few ideas on your tour! This waterfront facility takes in Edison's old laboratory, botanical gardens and house, most of it as though this important inventor only stepped out for lunch. Lit by the carbon filament light bulbs he patented himself, it's hard not to be impressed by his creative ventures. Henry Ford, a friend of Edison, had a home next door, open for tours in conjunction with Edison's estate.
